Short Films: Themes and Variations
Un, deux, trois, crépuscule
Félix Dufour-Laperrière
Canada 2006. 15 Min.
Color. 35mm. Without dialogue
Another play on words, this time about the name of the children's game "Statues", which is called "Un, deux, trois, soleil" in French. Dufour-Laperrière has replaced the sun with twilight, which is not particularly surprising given his love of shadows. Interestingly, this film is his most colourful and texture-rich work alongside Archipelago, and it is hypnotic in the way in which it continually reinvents itself! (om)
