Short Films: Themes and Variations
Encre noire sur fond d‘azure
Félix Dufour-Laperrière
Canada 2003. 5 Min.
Color. 35mm. Without dialogue
An early exercise in ink, which contains many of Dufour-Laperrière's obsessions, but this time in a relatively uniformly drawn style. The beautiful thing here is what becomes visible – for example his enjoyment of a facade might have a lot to do with the fact that two rows of windows make a wall look like a film strip, depending on how the light falls on it...!
