An intimate look at the people who care for, observe, talk to and perhaps even befriend the animals in Argentina's zoos. The film takes an intimate look at animals in captivity and the delicate, sometimes tender bonds that form between humans and animals. But this closeness and care also creates dependencies that are infected by the colonial past and distort our view of nature.

Her films are an invitation to explore nature with your eyes. These small works of art are sensual epigrams with which the Argentinian-British artist and filmmaker focuses on natural history - but also on other trivialities. Jessica Sara Rindland's short films are like archives, telling not only about the object of observation, but also about the person who collects, preserves and explores, as in A BOILED SKELETON (2013), which tells the story of a whale's journey to the basement of a London museum.
MONÓLOGO COLECTIVO is a logical continuation of her previous work, but goes far beyond it in terms of complexity and scope.
