Otto deletes faces on Google StreetView; for days and nights on end. He receives one cent for every face he deletes. Otto is a click-jobber aka turker like thousands of others around the world. They complete so-called micro-tasks assigned to them by Amazon Mechanical Turk. They are paid in vouchers from Amazon. While he sits at the screen, Otto talks to other turkers - with some of whom he develops something like a friendship - about slave labor in the digital mines of the Internet.
