STRIPS

Dufour-Laperrière's universe is filled with very delicately drawn female nudes, whose mostly minimal lines are already filled with a beautiful sinewy power. Therefore, it is not surprising that he here deals with striptease scenes, real bodies, coveting glances – materials that he dismantles, into strips, sometimes on top of an actual film strip. And sometimes his patterns of strips obscure what is meant to be revealed.
